I’m proud to announce that I’ll be leading two comics workshops at 826 Michigan this May!

On May 20 from 6-8 pm you’ll be able to participate in a hands-on character design workshop that explores the many ways a cartoonist writes characters with visuals and words. How do you design a character so that an audience will infer their occupation, personality, and goals by visuals alone? What aspects of the character can be conveyed visually, and what must you express verbally?

On May 25, from 6 to 7:30 pm you can join us for my Make a Mini-Comic workshop, which covers how limitations breed creativity. Working with a small page count and limited tools, you’ll discover how using less can equal a whole lot more in your comic.

Registration is required, so sign up quickly to secure your place!
