Sometimes I think Ryan is the comics equivalent of spacetime.

He's everywhere and we're all reacting to him whether we know it or not.

AHHHH! I just read the copy of Toronto to Tuscany by Kean Soo and Tory Woollcott that I picked up at Kids Read Comics and SPOILER ALERT! The last page of the book is ABOUT ME! (and what a bad influence I am on the cartoonists and travelers of the world)

+Joseph Coco was super generous to give me so much time to talk about comics and comics advocacy while I was at TCAF.

I usually keep #artist  interviews down to 12 minutes, but I had way too much to ask +Jerzy Drozd. He's a great cartoonist and has done a ton for the #comics  community. Check out his Warren Commission Report or Boulder and Fleet comics if you get the chance, and if you're in Michigan you should swing by #krcomics  Kids Read Comics June 20-21.

Talking about navigating through comics cultures on the LIA Cast

http://ift.tt/1JdlDTy

Having just returned from Kids Read Comics 2015, +Rob Stenzinger and I reflect on our experiences and wonder aloud about how the features and design of an event informs its culture, and how newcomers to the event can find their place within it.

http://ift.tt/1kCaiSM

If you're in the SE Michigan area this weekend I hope you'll stop by the free comic convention held at the Ann Arbor District Library, featuring over 50 cartoonists including Raina Telgemeier, Faith Erin Hicks, Kean Soo, Tory Woollcott, Dave Roman, Rafael Rosado, Chris Giarrusso, and more!

My pal +Lauren Houser will be there with our new mini-comic, Minimum Wage Mages, the story of two part-time wizards fighting supernatural bat queens.

Hope to see you there!

And they all danced

That wraps it up for the first Pickles and Taft: Adventurers for Hire story! I'm leaving it online for free for the next week, after which I'm removing it from here and from the boulderandfleet.com archives.

If you enjoyed the comic you can purchase a hard copy here: http://ift.tt/1QVLYZT

Hope you enjoyed it.

Over 40 free events during Kids Read Comics weekend at AADL

http://ift.tt/1p3Mvxz

Kids Read Comics is a convention that promotes comics for kids and the creators who make them. Every hour you'll find a free hands-on workshop where you'll learn comics storytelling techniques from our guest artists.

This year we have a terrific schedule of workshops for kids and teens. Whether you want to make journal comics, learn advanced drawing techniques, or even learn how to storyboard cartoons, there's something for you to try at KRC. You can download a PDF of the program or view it on the web here: http://ift.tt/1p3Mvxz
