Drawing for Myself – Faker in Action!

The other day I was playing with dynamic poses in class, using one of my favorite villains as my subject:

I was kind of happy with the result, but then I wondered what would happen if I tried it again in the style I’ve been using for the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe character re-imaginings:

I was pretty happy with what I came up with, so I decided to throw some color on it to see how it would all come together:

FAKER Pencil, brush pen, and Photoshop on 5.5×8.25″ bristol.

This makes me eager to try drawing a few action sequences with these re-imagined designs. These more cartoony versions feel a little more “stretchy” than the original Filmation designs, which I’m sure will lend to some pretty neat looking leaping and exploding scenes.

Of the re-designs I’ve done so far, who would you like to see in an action pose?
