Help Spread the Word About KRC on FCBD!

This coming Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, an event that’s all about getting new people to read comics. Many of the comics are all-ages or aimed at kids, because, as we all know, they are our future and the future of the medium. The more young people we get reading comics, the more life-long enthusiasts of the medium we will create, which will hopefully carry on and support the medium and the industry.

But did you know that every day is Free Comic Book Day at your local library? Seems like this is a good event to make some noise about that. And if we want to get more kids reading comics, why not use this event to spread awareness of events like Kids Read Comics, a free event (held at a library!) offering comics programs and activities for kids?

If you agree that it’s important for more young people to get involved in our beloved medium, here’s what I’m hoping you can do:

  • Print out some of these handy PDF fliers (linked below) to take to your local comics retailer on FCBD to be inserted or included with the free books.
  • Take some of these fliers to your local library to be handed out to patrons.
  • If you are a cartoonist making an appearance during the day, why not print off a few fliers to give to your fans?
  • Post the new banner below on your website, Tumblr, or Facebook, linking back to the Kids Read Comics website.
  • You could even blog or link to a review of one of your favorite comics available at your local library!

Thanks for your support of KRC’s mission!
