Help spread the word about comics!

Tonight at 7 pm Eastern Time I’ll be doing a presentation for Ignite Ann Arbor. It’s going to be a 5-minute talk on why I think comics are so great (and why it’s good for you to read them). If you follow me on Twitter or are friends with me on Facebook, I’m sure you agree with the presentation’s message, and I hope you’ll help spread the word about the event to reach as many as possible!

Here’s how you can help:

The event will be streamed live on Ustream. I’m the first speaker at this year’s event, so I’ll be starting sometime around 7:10 pm. Post links to this on Twitter and Facebook just before the event begins!

When you post, it’d be helpful to use the Twitter hashtags #ignitea2 and #GIW for Global Ignite week. Folks interested in Ignite talks will be following these tags, so using them will alert people around the world that there’s something worth watching on the Ignite Ann Arbor Ustream channel.

Photos from the event will be collected in the Ignite Ann Arbor’s Flickr group pool as well as on their Facebook fan page. As the photos start coming in, I’d appreciate it if you would link to those as well.

It is my hope that this might raise interest in more comics programming and presentations at events like Ignite as well as at schools and libraries. Let’s get more people to invest in our beloved medium!

Thanks, and wish me luck!
