Talking with Sumo's Thien Pham on today's Comics Are Great! live show

Join us live at 12:30pm ET at http://comicsaregreat.tv

+thien pham is the author behind Sumo, a new graphic novel that explores the poetic affordances of comics storytelling. Today at 12:30 pm ET I'll be talking with him on the +Comics Are Great! show about the book, how "every moment is the moment of truth," and how creating limitations in a work can foster some interesting creative choices.

We'll be streaming via On Air Hangout and on YouTube, and you can participate via chat at http://webchat.freenode.net in the #cag  channel.

  1. FIRST TIME LOOKING AT SUMO I WOULD TO SEE MORE BEFORE DECIDING IF I LIKED IT OR NOT. I LIKED THE EXPOSURE IN THIS WAY TO SEE A PART OF THE JAPANESE CULTURE.

  2. First Second has put out some very good books… one of my favorites was Anya's Ghost

  3. Dave Roman says:

Sorry I missed it live. But looking forward to watching it ASAP. That Thien guy is superfamous!

  4. Loved it. Learning.
